Day 1
Day 1
Arrival
We arrives in Anchorage and check-in to Hotel in Anchorage. In the evening (17:00) - cycling or walking in the city, from the Telekvana park we will get to the Earthquake Park, where the citizens often seen moose’s, almost in midtown. After that, a common dinner in a restaurant. Today, by the way, Labor Day is celebrated by all of America! Rest after flights, acclimatisation, overnight at the hotel.

At 10 AM we will pick up our RVs (drivers must have driving license and a credit card for a deposit). Than returning hotel, pick up their crews and we will going to shopping at Walmart. There you will also be able to buy some stuff, like raincoats / windbstoppers / thermal underwear if you do not have enough of your own equipment for hiking. Also we will buy provisions for the next 3 days. Since we will spend 3 days in nature, with overnight stays in RV. And we will make quick stop on the seafood market for crabs and same fresh salmon.

After that, approximately at 2pm we start going directly the National Park Denali, the route will be 239 miles, about 4 hours drive. Our overnight stay is booked inside the park at Savage River Campground, the most remote campground that can be reached by private vehicle. In evening we will arrange the first picnic right under the sky and get high from nature, moose and even bears often comes here.

Denali National Park
We will have breakfast on a common meadow, prepared everything in RV, with all needed kitchen stuff, and slowly get ready for our first hiking. We leave walk directly from the campsite to an interesting hiking route. Everything will take about 4-5 hours of leisurely walking, and as a result - we will go to the observation deck with a stunning view-overview of the entire Denali National Park! By the way, the rightful ruler of these places is a grizzly bear, here we can use grizzly sprays, which are worth grabbing from Walmart, in Anchorage)

Then we return to the campground. Today we still have time to visit the Denali Visitor Center, where we will learn history of the park. Overnight at Savage River Campground.

Glacier View
          We get enough sleep and slowly packing our camp.

          At 10:30 we leave for the South, before reaching Anchorage we head west to the glacier range, our campsite with the romantic name of the place - Glacier View. The entire route will be 278 miles - that's about 5 hours drive. Upon arrival, we park our RV correctly, set up camp, and prepare a BBQ. Those who wish can take a walk to the nearby camping hotel, where there are traces of a recent giant landslide, dozens of cars stick out of the ground like after Armageddon. Night under the stars and with a glacier view.

Walk on the glacier
Today is one of the most impressive days, as we will go for a GLACIER walking! One of the few glaciers in the world accessible by foot without special training and equipment. We will put on the crampons over our sneakers, and leaded by local guide, we will make an exciting walk through the blue-blue ice, which is thousands of years old. Matanuska Glacier, remember this day in the program, and be sure to charge your phones before!

After the glacier, we will move ahead, return towards Anchorage, but not stop by the city itself. Unless we stop at the supermarket to refilling our fridge. We move south to real fjords, to the Kenai Peninsula through a narrow isthmus squeezed by the massif of the Chugach mountain range on one side and Cook Bay on the other. Our itinerary destination for today is the seaside town of Seward, which is located in Christ's Resurrection Bay. One of the most popular cities in Alaska due to its wildlife landscapes! This is the sea gate of the southern part of the state. On the way, we will also visit the picturesque town of Girdwood. This cozy small settlement is located at the foot of Chugach Mountain, surrounded by seven eternal glaciers. Here we will enjoy the already familiar to Alaska, impressive landscapes and wildlife. Overnight at Stoney Creek RV campground, with such a view!

Northern fjord
Today is the Nothern fjord cruise DAY! This adventure will take almost whole day, Starts in the morning, at exactly 10:00 AM we leaving by our ship from Seward. The cruise will pass through the Kenai Fjords National Park, which was founded in 1980 and includes three main areas: the "disappearing glacier", the Harding Icefield and the coast. Harding Icefield with an area of ​​1813 sq. km. It is one of only four remaining ice fields in the United States and is also the largest ice field located entirely within US borders. The indented coastline of the park includes beautiful icebergs and rich marine life.

Sixty percent of the park is covered in ice and snow. As the ice retreats, it reveals glacier-carved valleys that fill with seawater, forming stunning fjords! Masses of ice the size of houses constantly break off icebergs and fall into the sea. And we will see it all with our own eyes, such a cruise is the best way to see icebergs within the park!

After returning from the cruise, we get into RVs and go to the late afternoon “wild” overnight in nature. The name of our campsite speaks for itself "Moos pass Campground". The drive from Seward is only 30 minutes. Today is the last chance to cook Alaskan steaks!

Today we will try one of the special and traditional activities in Alaska - we will go to mining gold in the village of Cooper Landing, where one of the old-school miners of Alaska will show and tell us everything in this matter. Mr. Prospector Joe, if you are so lucky to finda nugget - old Joe is happy to be with you for him bargain. Then we will have lunch and drink beer in a pub accompanied by stories of an old gold digger.

After lunch, we move to Anchorage, return our RVs to the rental company and check into the Hotel, which we already know.

Katmai National Park (Brooks Camp)
Today is unforgettable day! We will visit a truly unique place on the Katmai Peninsula, and spend it in close proximity to wild Grizzlies, which can be seen at a distance of 5-10 meters while fishing on the cascade of the Brooks River. It is in this place that photographers and travelers from all around the world dreaming to catch grizzly bears by cameras! To begin with, a seaplane flight awaits us, since not a single road leads here, the place is truly wild! After a 40-minutes flight, we will find ourselves in the “home” of the bears, where we will have a briefing with the park rangers and we will be able to go on an adventure. On this aria there are several sites for observing bears while fishing salmon. The intersection between these sites is carried out accompanied by a ranger. Full day tour, departs from Anchorage in the morning and returns in the evening. Lunch included!

For that part of the group who will not visiting Katmai - we will offer alternative Anchorage sightseeing and day itinerary, or you will have free day for souvenirs shopping.
