PROGRAM
Day 1
Day 1
Nairobi
Welcome to the capital of Kenia, the colonial city. We landed in Nairobi. Transfer to hotel and have some rest after long way. Then lunch and will go for a walk, at the same time exchanging Kenyan money and buying local SIM cards. The city s quite interesting, its history goes back more than 120 years, but during this time it was the largest city in East Africa. In fact, no one knows for sure how many people live here today, since the slums of Kibera are located on the territory of the city - where they never tried to do a population census. The city can be safely called a city of contrasts, high-rise buildings are located next to the slums, and people from all Kenyan villages go to see the 33-storey skyscraper UAP-Tower. But for tourists the most nature is of great interest, practically in the city there is the first park which is called the Nairobi National Park).
Our hotel is a whole complex of bungalow-cottages in a green and quite part of the city. In evening on the terrace near fireplace in our cottages encourages meting and communication, and the team leader will hold the first briefing, where he will tell all our plans for the coming days.
Day 2
Day 2
This day we are going to spend in Nairobi, one of the biggest African capital! We have good news, Nairobi climate - unique, city located on the altitude 1600 m, that's why not so hot. Today we gonna visit Giraffe center and we will feed them by hands, and make selfie for sure)
Today we will also attend a special tour of the Kibera slums, one of the largest in the world. And for contrast, let's take a look at the rich part of the city, by the way they are adjacent. In the evening we will go to dinner at the iconic Carnivore restaurant, where you can taste any kind of savannah meat
Day 3
Day 3
The Ark Lodge
Departure from the hotel in Nairobi, we will go to the airfield to fly to the savannah on small private 4-seater aircraft (sessna type) to our first lodge (the flight takes only 40 minutes), and at this time our expedition jeeps will drive about 6 hours. On this flight we will see Nairobi and Mount Kenya from a bird's eye view! In fact, this is an interesting aerial tour that will save you from a tiring journey. Our overnight stay is The Ark Lodge, a world-famous place for animals to come to the watering hole located in Aberdare National Park. For lunch, we will stop at the Country Club of a closed type - an interesting place with its own history. We dine among the walking zebras and antelopes, funny pumbas are almost everywhere, they are warthogs)) Here, by the way, zebras graze right on the golf fields. After lunch, we get to Ark Lodge in 20 minutes, after settling in we go to the lobby and look at the animals in the sit-down safari mode with a glass of wine in hand. The peculiarity of this Ark Lodge is that the hotel is built in the form of an ark (and named after Noah's Ark, respectively) with 3 decks from which a wonderful view of the savannah and a watering hole for wild animals opens! And there is also a bunker at ground level, an inconspicuous place for a photographer, from where you can not only capture animals up close, but practically pet them. In the evening we will arrange a cool game for travelers in the fireplace hall, dinner is included.
Day 4
Day 4
Nakuru and Naivasha Lakes
We have a leisurely breakfast and drive to the smallest national park in Kenya - Lake Nakuru, on the way we cross the Equator!!! By the way, this is one of the few safe places on our planet where you can safely cross the Equator by land. After we drive through the Thompson Falls. It is here that there is a high probability of watching huge flocks of flamingos on the lake.

Having examined the lake, we continue our way to the next Naivasha Country Club. Here we spend the rest of the day and check in for the night. This is one of the most extreme safari places, where going out in the evening is possible only accompanied by a ranger, as hippos walk around the territory of the lodge!.
Day 5
Day 5
Naivasha Lake - Massai Mara National Park
We wake up early, have breakfast at 7 am and get into jeeps, literally a 5-minute drive and find ourselves on the shores of Lake Naivashi. We change into boats and set sail! The purpose of our trip is to observe hippos in their natural habitat. We will silently sail almost close to these giants. One of the most beautiful views of nature in Kenya opens from the water! After the walk, we get into jeeps and drive to the Masai Mara National Park! The path will be long, but landscape, we will spend about 6 hours on the road. Our habitat for the next two days will be special - Camp Loyk! You've only seen a place like this in the movies. Exquisite five-star savanna camp, built in the style of a royal cigar club, with expensive leather furniture and artificially aged wood, which is a complete discord with the remote savannah in the depths of Africa. There is a special atmosphere here, you will definitely not want to leave. There is also a swimming pool with such a view!
Day 6
Day 6
Massai Mara
. Breakfast and full day safari in Masai Mara starting at 9 am. This is the most famous and one of the best Kenyan national parks. It is here that millions of herds of antelopes and zebras come from the Tanzanian Seregneti Park, crossing the most dangerous Mara River, where alligators are waiting for them. We will have a picnic lunch in the park (lunch boxes will be given to us at the camp in the morning). In the evening we return to our camp before sunset, and discuss what we saw over a glass of wine!
Day 7
Day 7
Morning safari in the National Park. Today you will have to wake up early - to see all the main beauty! Most animals are not active during the day, because they prefer to sit in the shade during the heat. Therefore, all the most interesting things can be observed either in the early morning or in the evening, but visibility is already much worse. In the afternoon we just relax by the pool, gain strength before tomorrow's move.
Day 8
Day 8
Nairobi way
We will have breakfast and move to Nairobi, along the way we will make several stops to buy souvenirs. Africans are masters of authentic mahogany carvings. Again we will settle in the bungalow hotel already known to us.
Rest before night flight home.
Day 9
Day 9
Fly back home
On this day, we say goodbye to Alaska, this amazing land of untouched nature! Flight home, according to the flight schedule!
